It's been a crazy week! We got all of our paperwork submitted! I think I mailed or email something everyday...so not me...I think my type A personality/organized side of me left me when we got the referral and my mind went bonkers!

Here's proof...a friend sent me a reminder that we need to collect the Baby Bottles for our Baby Bottle Fundraiser to help with our plane tickets for the 2 trips! So here it is...if you still have a bottle you can either just give it to one of us in person, count the change and make a donation via the blog fundraiser page, or whatever is easiest for you! Some have mailed us a check and that works, too. Thanks for joining our journey in this way! PLEASE pray for her and us over the next few months! We more than appreciate it:)

T-Shirts...going, going, gone!

Alright, we've got just a few Longing For Africa t-shirts left! They are for you folks out there who are petite or buff! We've 1 XXL male or unisex left for $10 ea. We also have children's shirts for $10ea : 1 gray and 9 ladies green small, which are tiny. (They would fit a size 10 girls thru a 0 preteen slim)

So if we get all of these shirts outta of our living room and out there advocating for orphans, we will have 120 shirts spreading the word! Thanks to those of you who have already purchased one to help defray the cost of our adoption and make 143 million orphans minus 1!

Be sure to check out the Family Road Map as well! Little did we know when we wrote it, (pre-adoption process) that God would use it to help bring her home as well as to encourage families along the way, which is our heartbeat!

Some have asked if we willing be ordering more shirts in different sizes to sell. At this time, we will not be re-ordering. So sorry! We do have a few left in various sizes. In the future, we may do another t-shirt for a fundraiser to support a cause for Ethiopia/orphans. Thanks for asking!

We're counting down and getting closer, so we are doing a "BIG T-SHIRT" push to bring her home! We want to get the rest of the shirts out there to help fund our travel and to advocate for the orphans in Africa. Soooooooo here is what we have left:

We are so excited! Little by little we're getting ready for her! Our youngest is now referring to himself in third person as "Big Brother." He'll also use it as a reason for everything...he'll say, "Mom, I can do it. I a big brother now!" It sure is cute! Boy, she has no idea of the love that surrounds her already! I think she'll be the most loved Ethiopian princess out there!

The Family Road Map Workshop

As you all know, we love “family”! We love the opportunity to parent our children and consider it an awesome privilege. One family tradition we have each December, consists of setting goals for the upcoming year. New Years is a great time to sit down and review the previous year and contemplate changes for the next. This year, we want to encourage you to make a commitment to “focus on your family.”

Last year, we created The Family Road Map, a workbook designed to help parents think though the purpose and plan for their family. We’ve been very excited to hear how God has chosen to use The Family Road Map in many of your families.

As we head into the New Year, we wanted to let you know about The Family Road Map Workshops we will be conducting in 2010.

Some take-a-ways of the workshop are:

-You will discover the role of the family in the life of a child.

-You will begin to establish your family’s values and purpose statement.

-You will discuss significant “Mile Markers” in the life of your children and how to celebrate them.

-You will gain useful tools to help in evaluating where your children are spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, etc.

Benefit Concert at Stoney Creek Roasters - October 3, 6-9pm

Hey Everyone! Clay Band , our close friends and amazing musicians, Josh and Liz Fronduti are holding a benefit concert on behalf of our Ethiopian Adoption.

When: October 3rd, Cedarville University's Homecoming weekend, from 6-9pm.Where: Stoney Creek Roasters, located downtown Cedarville, OH.
